da prosport bet: Manchester United’s poor run of form continued on Sunday as Jose Mourinho’s side sunk to an embarrassing 3-1 defeat to Watford.
da betway: Man of the moment Etienne Capoue opened the scoring ten minutes before half time with a fine finish from the middle of the United box. Marcus Rashford levelled shortly into the second half, however substitute Juan Zuniga’s smashing strike once again gave the hosts the lead before a 95th minute Troy Deeney penalty sealed United’s fate.
The win was the second on the bounce for home-side Watford who beat West Ham 4-2 last week at the London Stadium, however for United it meant three defeats on the bounce.
The Red Devils lost to fellow Mancunian’s Manchester City in last weeks derby, and mid-week slumped to a 1-0 defeat to Dutch outfit Feyenoord in their opening fixture of the Europa League.
Things look bleak for United and Mourinho with their next Premier League fixture against defending champions Leicester City, however if Jose can lean on these THREE players, they might just be his saviours….
Marcus Rashford
The boy wonder was once again on the scoresheet on Sunday as he scored the equaliser just after half time with a typical predator’s finish. United fans were gleaming when it was announced the youngster was to start, and he did not disappoint, however lacked support going forward and ultimately looked isolated.
It is not only United fans who are impressed with the 18-year-old, with pundits and England supporters alike all having nothing but praise for the striker.
Daley Blind
Arguably United’s best player of last season, Daley Blind has hardly been utilised this season under Mourinho and the reason why goes over me.
The Dutchman was solid in central defence all last campaign despite it not being his preferred position, and was a huge part of United’s impressive defensive record. Mourinho’s side are leaking goals again and could do with the former Ajax man’s composure in the back four.
Anthony Martial
French wonderkid Anthony Martial was United’s saviour last season, as he scored 15 goals for the Red Devils – mostly from wide positions – in what was a terrific debut campaign. Another player however that has found his playing time substantially cut due to expensive summer arrivals, Martial needs to be starting week in week out for Jose Mourinho as he is one of the most gifted forwards in the league, having the ability to change games at the drop of a hat, or shoulder in his case.
