Reports from The Northern Echo have stated that the club are edging closer to recruiting a new boss, with Gareth Ainsworth and Phil Parkinson mentioned as the leading candidates – the latter many fans desperately do not want to see at the helm.

In the same report from The Echo, they claimed that owner Stewart Donald was confident in appointing a manager prior to the fixture against the Chairboys. However, many fans have already expressed their frustration in the past in appointing dull and defensive managers. Many supporters were not happy with Ross throughout his time as boss and now they do not want to see a manager of a similar nature.
