da dobrowin: Diego Costa has reacted furiously to recent speculation linking him with a move away from the club this summer, telling fans in an
da brdice: /BQDX5ITg9j2/” data-lasso->Instagram post: “They talk too much s–t!!! Come on Chelsea!!”
Why’s he so angry?
The social media outburst comes after Spanish radio station Cadena Ser reported on Thursday night that the Chelsea striker had already agreed a deal with Chinese club Tianjin Quanjin and would be paid £25m per year.
However, it appears that Diego Costa is committed to Chelsea at least in the short term. That’s the view of Chelsea boss Antonio Conte too, who spoke about the most recent reports ahead of the Blues’ big match with Arsenal.
Quoted by ESPN, Conte said:
Now the most important thing is to be focused on this championship. We are in a good position. Diego is an important player for us, is happy to stay with us, for me these are the most important things. Not what happens in the summer. It’s important to think in the present.
It appears that unlike stories last month, Chelsea and the player are on the same page with regards to big money offers and that can only be a massive positive heading into one of their most important matches of the season.
A happy Costa is a happy Chelsea
Diego Costa has been in lethal form for Antonio Conte this season and keeping him happy and focused is likely to see him produce the goals that will fire Chelsea to the Premier League title.
The 28 year old Spanish international has scored an incredible 15 goals this season, the division’s top scorer alongside Alexis Sanchez. With five assists too, he’s been Chelsea’s most effective player by far this term.
The news that he’s happy to stay at Chelsea and focus on the team will be massively welcome to the Stamford Bridge loyal and they’ll be hoping to see him hit top form when their side take on Arsenal in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off.
