da dobrowin: With their push for a European place well underway thanks to a fine start to the season, Bournemouth could do with some added firepower in January to take the weight off Callum Wilson’s shoulders.
What’s the word?
The Cherries currently sit in sixth in the Premier League table, just four points behind fifth-placed Arsenal. Eddie Howe’s men have been one of the standout teams in England’s top-flight so far this campaign, largely thanks to the heroics of recently-capped England international Wilson.
The 26-year-old’s six goals and four assists have been pivotal in helping the south coast side to the position they’re currently in, and although Josh King is waiting in the wings behind him, a bit of back-up in the goalscoring department wouldn’t go amiss in the winter transfer window.

Who could they get in?
In what is a fairly left-field suggestion, from a league that doesn’t often come into contact with the Premier League in terms of transfer dealings, the Greek Super League’s top scorer in Efthymios Koulouris should definitely be in Bournemouth’s sights.
The Greece international is a young forward with bags of potential, who is already recording some pretty impressive figures for Anorthosis, for whom he is playing for on loan from PAOK.
In just 14 starts this season, the 22-year-old has hit 11 goals and is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Greek football.
Should the Premier League side make contact with his representatives before others catch on to his abilities, there could be potential for Howe to grab a bargain in what is a hugely inflated market.
Additionally, before you suggest that the Greek Super League is a ‘farmer’s league’, it should be noted that the impressive Crystal Palace midfielder Luka Milivojevic was bought from that league and has adapted excellently to English football.
Also, Arsenal’s highly-rated head of recruitment, nicknamed ‘Diamond Eye’, saw it fit to bring 20-year-old Konstantinos Mavropanos to north London, a player who has performed well in his few appearances for the club and has bags of potential.
