da betsul: West Ham United fans are no strangers to hearing the phrase ‘Andy Carroll is injured’.
The striker has been on the East London outfit’s books since 2013, but in the last few seasons he has struggled to stay fit.
In the 2016-17 season, Carroll made just 18 Premier League appearances, scoring seven goals.
In the following campaign, the attacker was restricted to just 16 outings in the top flight due to ankle and groin problems.
So far this season, Carroll has not featured at all due to more injury issues, but it seems that he is on the way back.
According to the London Evening Standard, the 29-year-old has begun running on the training field but is not yet ready to return to full sessions with his teammates.

When Carroll is fit and ready, it is unlikely that manager Manuel Pellegrini will select him to start ahead of Marko Arnautovic, but he will be jostling for the second-string position alongside Javier Hernandez.
On Reddit, West Ham fans posted their thoughts on Carroll’s fitness update.
