Incoming Real Madrid youngster Endrick has arrived in the Spanish city ahead of a grand welcome at his new club

Los Blancos secured the young Palmeiras forward's signature for £52 million ($64m) in December 2022, seeing off competition from Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona. However, the now 17-year-old cannot join the Spanish giants until July 2024 as FIFA rules prohibit players under the age of 18 being transferred from abroad. Now he has been pictured in Madrid after a short stay in the United States. Real Madrid shared a video of Endrick meeting Carlo Ancelotti and his new team-mates. Endrick was spotted chatting with Jude Bellingham who remarked "Good English hey!" after exchanging a few words with the Brazilian.

Endrick's move to Madrid makes him one of the most expensive teenage signings in footballing history. Madrid paid around £40m each for Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo from Flamengo and Santos respectively before they were 18 and both have been big successes for the Spanish giants. Many will hope the Brazilian prodigy can follow in his compatriots' footsteps.

Endrick scored 14 goals in 31 games for Palmeiras in 2023 and he has already been capped twice by the Brazilian national team. During his time with the senior team, they have won the league twice and the Supercopa do Brasil and the Campeonato Paulista this year.
