But the equaliser came with the final kick of the first half as Philippe Coutinho curled in a wonderful curling effort past Asmir Begovic to get Liverpool back in the game and well in with a chance of snatching all three points in the second half.
And Liverpool fans absolutely loved it as they took to Twitter to congratulate Coutinho, with many admitting they were wondering whether it would’ve been a good idea to take the Brazilian off at half-time before his goal…
