da pinup bet:
da bet nacional: Sky Sports News presenter Jim White has reported that Rangers could re-ignite their interest in Hearts winger Jamie Walker on deadline day.
What’s the story?
Outlets such as The Evening Times had reported earlier this week that the Light Blues would not sign the left-sided player due to the fee demands of the Tynecastle club but it seems that could dramatically change just hours before the midnight deadline.
Jim White, well known for his transfer news on deadline day due to his role with Sky Sports News, has a source that says Rangers will make a renewed bid for Walker today.
Getting him at this late stage would be a massive boost for supporters. They’ve been wanting their club to make the move to sign Walker all summer.
Worth the chase?
Jamie Walker was a stand-out in the Scottish Premiership last season, scoring 15 goals for Hearts, a tally that equalled anyone at Ibrox. His ability to create space on the left wing, cut inside and provide for teammates or hit the target was notable and it would be an upgrade on the options currently available to Pedro Caixinha.
With Barrie McKay making the move to Nottingham Forest, the Light Blues have called upon Josh Windass to deputise on the left but despite glimpses of quality, the jury is out on whether he can sustain form across the season.
Walker is a proven top-flight talent and could be a massive hit at Ibrox if they can get the deal done.
