Aguero knows it could be a long-fought-out affair this term, and realises the threat of Liverpool, but does not see the Merseyside outfit as Man City’s greatest rival.
“The Clasico, it’s the match against [Manchester] United,” Aguero told France Football.
“Liverpool has always been a tough opponent. But when I arrived, the team we were fighting for the title was United.
“Liverpool has become a very strong team and is now fighting with us to win the Premier League. It’s the only team that can hurt us.
“This year they are in front of us and will try to go to the end.”
