da cassino online: West Brom finally picked up their first Premier League victory since gaining promotion last season, defeating rock-bottom Sheffield United at the Hawthorns last weekend.
da leao: They now face a trip to Crystal Palace who too are struggling in the top-flight this term, but for Baggies boss Slaven Bilic, they are still some way off truly turning things around.
After all, they only won by one goal and a fairly lucky one at that after Conor Gallagher’s strike found its way in through a crowded penalty area.
Albion still hold the third-worst goalscoring record in the division, finding the net just seven times in ten matches – three of which coming in the very same game.
Right before the domestic transfer deadline, Bilic finally secured a signing that he had hoped would resolve this long-standing problem, ending their 13-month pursuit of Karlan Grant.
They will pay a total of £15m and signed the 23-year-old to a six-year deal.
Over the course of his career so far, Grant has been described as a “natural goalscorer” by friend, mentor and former Charlton forward Jason Euell, whilst his old boss at Huddersfield, Nicky Cowley, claimed he is “ruthless” in front of goal.
These only echo further comments from Lee Bowyer, who believes “the kid causes problems and scores goals.”
However, the €15m-rated (£13.5m) has struggled to adapt to the step-up in quality having only ever made 13 PL appearances prior to his move to the Hawthorns.
Averaging a rating of just 6.45, Grant has scored only one goal in six starts for the Baggies. He has also averaged a mediocre 1.5 shots, 0.5 key passes and 0.3 dribbles, via WhoScored.
Maybe dropping him gives the kick up the backside needed to truly kickstart his Albion career. Someone like Hal Robson-Kanu or current top goalscorer Callum Robinson could play the lone role given their impressive workrates.
Bilic must be ‘ruthless’ himself this weekend by dropping Grant.
